Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Sustainable consumption and production refer to the promotion of efficient use of resources and energy, the construction of sustainable infrastructure, and the opportunity for everyone to obtain basic public services, engage in green and decent work, and improve the quality of life. Its implementation will help realize the overall development plan, reduce future economic, environmental and social costs, strengthen economic competitiveness and reduce poverty.

Sustainable consumption and production are aimed at "reducing consumption, increasing, and improving quality", that is, while improving the quality of life, it increases the net welfare benefits of economic activities by reducing resource consumption, environmental degradation and pollution throughout the life cycle. This process requires the participation of multiple parties, including companies, consumers, decision makers, researchers, scientists, retailers, media, and development cooperation agencies.

Sustainable consumption and production also require the systematic participation and cooperation of all actors in the supply chain from production to final consumption, including education to allow consumers to accept sustainable consumption and lifestyles, and to provide consumers with adequate standards and labels. Information, and sustainable public procurement.

Challenges to sustainable consumption and production:

      ●  Every year, it is estimated that one-third of the total food output, which is equivalent to 1.3 billion tons of food worth $1 trillion, rots in the trash cans of consumers and retailers, or due to improper transportation and harvesting Spoilage

      ●  If people all over the world use energy-saving light bulbs, the world will save 120 billion US dollars every year

      ●  If the global population reaches 9.6 billion by 2050, it may take almost three earths to provide the natural resources needed for the current lifestyle
